I picked up an 1/8th of Pre-98 Bubba Kush ($55) from OrganiCann in Santa Rosa. Pre-98 Bubba Kush is exactly as it sounds – originating from an original pre-98 cut of the strain. Predominantly indica, this strain is a must-try for anyone suffering from insomnia or in need of deep relaxation.
Upon opening the packet, there’s a delightful earthy aroma indicative of Kush. Decent sized, well-formed buds crack open releasing a sour pine aroma. The taste is earthy too, with a woody, coffee-like flavor. The smoke is full-bodied and sharp.
The powerful relaxation takes effect immediately although it may be a moment before you notice if you mainly smoke sativa. Tension and stress just melts away, muscles relax and you can settle in for a comfortable time. Pre-98 Bubba Kush provided a long-lasting high that settled deep in the body. I enjoyed an unusually restful sleep. Many people use this strain to medicate for insomnia and pain-relief. The mental effects are subtle.
