High Artist Spotlight: Philip Nordin
Philip Nordin is a self-taught Illustrator from Stockholm, Sweden specializing in digital art and illustration.
He likes working with the basics of symbolism and iconography mixed with fun psychedelic characters and designs. He has been interested in art and illustration all of his life but didn’t take his own learning process or expression seriously until a couple of years ago. He then started learning Photoshop through experimentation and by dedicating himself to his expression has now, some years later, reached a point in time where he can actually create the type of imagery he always wanted to (and at a higher level than he ever thought possible for himself.)
Philip uses a digital medium, via Photoshop, in order to do things he wouldn’t be able to do traditionally. He doesn’t shy away from the fact that it’s digital since he thinks that all real expression is valid no matter what medium is used.
Philip entered “Interplanetary Harvester” during High Art 2019.

High Art was created by Dona Frank and The Natural Cannabis Company in 2014 as a crowdsourcing solution to packaging design. From its humble beginnings, High Art has developed into an internationally-known art competition with thousands of entries annually from 100+ countries all over the world.
Each year professional and amateur artists create themed works through a variety of mediums to compete for $50,000 in prize money and to see their work featured on packaging, social media, at the High Art gallery in Santa Rosa, CA and displayed at prestigious art events, in the United States and abroad.
