HIGH ART 2020 SPOTLIGHT: NATALIA BZDAK
“Too High To Fly”
Natalia Bzdak is a freelance illustrator and artist living in Germany. Her works are created with the help of brush and paint analogously on paper. Sometimes single elements are added digitally. She loves to play with ambiguities, both mischievously and captivatingly. She likes to narrate things like interpersonal relationships. Her artistic approach should make clear that man should return to nature, because he himself is a part of nature. Only in this way can he develop himself further. Her intention is also supported by a quotation of the German philosopher Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche:
‘We feel so good in nature because it has no judgement over us.’
Figuratively, this statement finds an enormous weighting in her work as an artist.

High Art was created by Dona Frank and The Natural Cannabis Company in 2014 as a crowdsourcing solution to packaging design. From its humble beginnings, High Art has developed into an internationally-known art competition with thousands of entries annually from 100+ countries all over the world.
Each year professional and amateur artists create themed works through a variety of mediums to compete for $50,000 in prize money and to see their work featured on packaging, social media, at the High Art gallery in Santa Rosa, CA and displayed at prestigious art events, in the United States and abroad.
