About the art: The mystical Theyyam is a ritualistic art form originating from Kerala, India, enacted by the local tribal. The belief was that of the spirit of the deity worshiped being transferred to the artist as they dance for hours in a mystical surrealistic trance where time becomes non existent. Similar to how cannabis can impart on an artist.
